About WTF Product
A structured way to build product thinking - not content chaos.
WTF Product exists to bring clarity to Product Management. In a world filled with scattered advice, disconnected frameworks, and surface-level insights, this platform is built as a structured learning system. Every concept connects. Every article builds depth. Every framework is explained in context - not isolation.
Why This Platform Exists
Product Management content is everywhere. Threads. Framework lists. Slide decks. Medium posts. AI summaries.
But most of it shares the same flaw - it teaches tools without teaching thinking.
Strong Product Managers don't succeed because they memorize frameworks.
They succeed because they understand:
- •How to make trade-offs under constraints
- •When to validate vs when to execute
- •When to diverge vs when to converge
- •When to explore vs when to commit
WTF Product was created to solve one problem:
The lack of structured product thinking.
This is not a content engine. It is a connected learning roadmap.
You don't read randomly here. You grow systematically.
What Makes This Different
Most PM resources are fragmented. This platform is designed as a system.
Every article connects to a broader roadmap.
You'll find:
- •Practical product thinking rooted in real-world application
- •Clear explanations without jargon
- •Context-driven frameworks
- •Deep dives into foundational concepts
- •Structured learning paths
This platform is intentionally opinionated.
Because clarity requires conviction.
About the Founder
Mayank Mahesh Malviya
Founder, WTF Product
Mayank built WTF Product after repeatedly observing the same pattern across aspiring product managers, working PMs, and founders:
There was no shortage of information. There was a shortage of clarity.
- •Founders were building features without structured validation.
- •Working PMs were reacting instead of thinking strategically.
- •Aspiring PMs were overwhelmed by frameworks.
The gap wasn't knowledge. It was structured thinking.
With experience in product roles and deep engagement in the product ecosystem, Mayank recognized that most learning resources treated Product Management as a checklist of tools.
But real product work is not about tools.
It's about judgment. Sequencing. Trade-offs. Decision-making under uncertainty.
WTF Product was created to reflect how product thinking actually evolves - step by step, concept by concept.
Not as isolated articles. But as a connected system.
The Philosophy Behind WTF Product
This platform is built on a few core beliefs:
- •Product Management is about clarity, not complexity.
- •Frameworks are useful only when applied at the right stage.
- •Exploration and commitment are different modes of thinking - and confusing them leads to chaos.
- •Learning should be structured, not random.
- •Strong PMs are built through depth, not volume.
WTF Product exists to sharpen thinking - not to overwhelm it.
How to Use This Platform
If you're new to Product Management:
Start with the foundations. Understand product identification, lifecycle, and core concepts before diving into prioritization or strategy.
If you're already working as a PM:
Use the roadmap to refine your thinking. Revisit core principles. Strengthen trade-off clarity. Sharpen prioritization judgment.
If you're a founder:
Focus on structured idea validation before roadmap commitments.
This platform is built to be explored intentionally.
Follow the roadmap. Read in sequence. Connect ideas.
